Getting a clean document from phone photos

For readable results, fill the frame with the page, keep the camera parallel to it to avoid a trapezoid shape, and use even lighting with no harsh shadow across the text. If a photo is rotated, fix it with the Rotate Image tool before converting. If the resulting PDF is too large for an upload limit — common with high-megapixel phone cameras — run it through Compress PDF afterward.

JPG to PDF vs Image to PDF vs Merge PDF

JPG to PDF accepts JPG and PNG. If your images are HEIC (iPhone), WEBP, AVIF, or GIF, use Image to PDF instead — it takes all of those directly. If what you're combining is already PDFs rather than images, use Merge PDF.
