Compression Tools
Compression tools: reduce PDF, image, and Office file size
Shrink PDFs, photos, Word files, and PowerPoints to fit an email or upload limit, including KB and MB size targets. Free, with no sign-up.
Upload forms, email systems, and websites all set size limits, and the right way to shrink a file depends on what's inside it. Photos compress by lowering quality or dimensions, PDFs shrink mostly by re-encoding the images they contain, and Office files hold embedded media that can be reduced separately.
Where a tool works toward a target, it measures the real result and tells you the size it reached, including when the target can't be met without ruining the file.

How much can a file shrink?
It depends on the content. Photo-heavy PDFs and PowerPoints shrink a lot, while text-only PDFs are already compact. Reducing to a very small target costs quality, so start with the limit you actually have rather than the smallest number possible.
